Project: Eliciting language samples for analysis (ELSA) from children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  

  • Coding speech patterns of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using ELAN.

  • Created an instructional video for at-home assessments and developed a guide for adapting ELSA to different cultures.

Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders, Boston University

Projects: Investigating the effects of parenting stress on both parenting and child development; measuring effectiveness of a modular approach to therapy on children with anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress.

  • Observe and help with exposure therapy for patient sessions; create and organize patient charts.

  • Code therapy sessions to measure clinician’s adherence to the diagnostic manual.

  • Research and organize publications for literature reviews using EndNote.

  • Analyzed predicted market trends for 2020 and presented a report on relevant trends.

  • Used Data Studio to analyze how Which? compares to similar brands via keyword searches.

Project: Measuring sensory learning differences between typically developing infants and infants with a sibling diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

  • Input and analyze data using REDCap and conduct literature review on sensory processing.

  • Conduct eye-tracking and EEG data pre-processing and cleaning using NetStation.

Social Development and Learning Lab, Boston University

Research Assistant, 12/16 - 5/20

Projects: Studying the effects of experiences of inequality on cognitive development in children; determining the multifaceted ways in which children learn to define fairness; measuring factors that influence children’s perceptions of their socioeconomic status.

  • Run research studies on volunteers and collect data, both in the lab and in greater Boston area.
